Hard to believe we're heading into August already!
From those of us in Richmond, VA who can't get away to the tropics for a break, we send this refreshing drink with "tropical" in the name that uses an old summer staple in here in the American South, orange sherbet.
Tropical Shannon
(Recipe by Hamilton Beach® Commercial contest winner Shannon McCormack)
Ingredients:
1 cup pineapple juice
1 cup pineapple
1 cup strawberries
4 scoops orange sherbet
1 tsp. orange extract
8 cubes ice
Instructions:
Place ingredients in the jar of your high performance blender in the order listed. Process until smooth.
Note: When blending frozen drinks, always put liquid ingredients in the jar first. Then follow by adding solid ingredients such as fruit and ice.
