When the Hamilton Beach® Commercial (HBC) team set out for Orlando for the NAFEM Show 2017, they were ready for a packed event. From live product demonstrations to the unveiling of new product lines, there was a lot to be excited about sharing with the foodservice community at this year’s show.

The NAFEM Show 2017, which took place at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando from February 8-11, hosted more than 10,000 foodservice professionals from North America and around the globe.

What's Hot What's Cool® at NAFEM 2017

This year the show featured its usual What’s Hot What’s Cool® exhibit, which showcased the most innovative new foodservice products across a variety of foodservice applications. Among them was the all-new QuantumHigh Performance Blender with Endura Technology by Hamilton Beach Commercial. This new design features exceptional durability, quiet operation and increased energy savings, all with a best-in-industry 7-year warranty on the Endura motor.

Meanwhile, the Quantum was also on display in the HBC booth in the front-of-house section, and the team was busy demonstrating its power by whipping up refreshing spinach smoothies (recipe below), among other things. Crowds gathered to witness the quiet new motor in action and experience the new features available on the convenient and modern capacitive touch-pad.

Also on display was the complete line of EXPEDITOR culinary blenders. Chef Hamilton wowed visitors to the back-of-house station as he demonstrated how the culinary blenders can quickly prep salsa, pesto, hummus, smoothie bowls, and more. The demonstrations showed the versatility of the blenders in real-time, as Chef Hamilton filled the 4 L / one-gallon capacity EXPEDITOR 1100 blender jars and produced  salsa, then soup, then sauce with ease.

Another popular stop in the booth was the juicing bar, which featured the iconic 932 manual citrus juicer, the HBC wheatgrass juicer and a sneak peek at the upcoming release of the centrifugal juice extractor. Guests to the booth were treated to a wide variety of juicing recipes, including samples of the nutrient-dense wheatgrass juice flavored with freshly-juiced ginger and lemon. The juice bar highlighted the uptick in consumer demand for the freshest possible flavors and nutrients, and how juicing equipment can provide the fresh recipe ingredients for sauces and smoothies prepared in the EXPEDITOR culinary blenders at the back-of-house station.

In a new product line roll-out, the Hamilton Beach Commercial team also gave visitors a sneak peek at the all-new vacuum sealing and sous vide line of products. From the portable vacuum packaging sealer with a 16-inch seal bar to a variety of in-chamber vacuum sealing machines and a sous vide circulator, guests got a first-hand look at the new foodservice possibilities coming soon from Hamilton Beach Commercial.

Guests within the booth enjoyed samples of the creations made with the products, including the popular spinach smoothie made in the Quantum:
