Today we are highlighting the work of Eric Vogel, owner of local Walnut Grill locations in St. Louis, as our foodservice hero.
The Walnut Grill has opened a new location, and will be donating 100 box lunches to front-line workers at hospitals near its restaurant locations. [If he looks familiar, we featured him on our Instagram feed back in June -- but we felt we could highlight him again.]
The new Walnut Grill location in Chesterfield will deliver lunches Thursday to St. Luke's Hospital, while the Walnut Grill in O'Fallon, Missouri, will provide Progress West Hospital lunches on Wednesday and Friday. St. Luke's Des Peres Hospital and Barnes-Jewish Hospital also will receive free lunches at a later date, restaurant officials said.
"Walnut Grill has always been guided by doing what is right for the communities in which we serve," Eric Vogel, owner and operator of local Walnut Grill locations, said in a statement. "We are excited and proud to open the Chesterfield Walnut Grill, and our entire team is looking forward to meeting and serving our Chesterfield and surrounding area guests."
Please join us in celebrating this week’s foodservice hero. We are honored to recognize his continuing contribution to his community.
